This training course was very helpful in that it taught me a lot about a field of which I previously knew little, and it has given me the knowledge and skills going forward that will enable us to instruct our IT team as to the essential elements of “Search Engine Optimisation and improve our own presence on the web.

A very good course, certainly demonstrated how to get good rankings in Google through completely logical changes and alterations to the company site.

I feel confident, having attended the search engine marketing course that I will be able to guide the technical department of my business through these changes in a constructive, beneficial manner.

Coming into a new role, there was a very strong likelihood of dealing with colleagues where I would need an additional layer of confidence when communicating. The new role was also going to involve challenging senior managers on their budgets and again, having different communication methods available would be really valuable to help in that challenge process.

The Communicating with Influence training programme was thoroughly enjoyable because the interactive element was pitched at right level. There was a lot of new information that has had an instant impact. I am now far more aware of how I convey messages and very aware of the impact communication can have when you communicate at the right logical level. I have no doubt that this programme has been of benefit to me and will continue to be both in and out of the business environment.

Recently my job has become more people facing. I wanted to improve confidence in talking with people and to really engage with those people that I have never met before. The programme was completely different to what I expected. I was expecting to be talked at for 8 hours and for everyone to get a pat on the back, but it was so different to that.

The Communicating with Influence training programme was delivered peer to peer rather than teacher to student, which allowed me to feel comfortable and relaxed and enabled us to talk with each other. I found the whole day made me personally very at ease and relaxed, and I didn’t clock watch once! I now find myself so much more confident in talking to people. I talk with more strength and conviction in my voice, and the more confident I am when I talk; the more my confidence grows.

I am getting a better response from clients in sales meetings, and overall the impact on my life in business and personal has been immeasurable.

I was already in a leadership position at the time of the training programme, but the notion of actually going on a leadership course was all quite new to me. The course has enabled me to think and act differently, both in my own personal attitudes, and also towards the people I work with. I was soon able to apply this gained knowledge to my working environment, and have since received positive feedback from colleagues regarding the courses affect. I did not previously realise the importance of the varied approaches to leadership. I enjoyed both the positive attitude of the tutor, and the informal and relaxed format of the course. I felt a real benefit from being able to discuss ideas and experience with other delegates.

I didn’t have any preconceptions before going on the course and so didn’t really know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised with the different mix of people on the training course. I entered into a leadership position early on in the year with little real experience as a team leader, and so it was very useful to learn the different ways of how to handle different situations. I also learnt real-life examples from the other delegates who were from different walks of life; they varied from anything from other recruitment consultants to stock-brokers and business owners. In terms of impact, the course has definitely changed my attitude toward leadership.

Not being a marketing person, I was extremely sceptical about attending the training course. As an accountant, I historically believed the only way to gain business was through referral and recommendation, and through business networking. But to my surprise, I found that it opened my eyes to new routes to gain business that I previously had disregarded. Very worthwhile and very enjoyable.
